Chicago and Texas continue their season series as the Stars return home to Cedar Park after a lackluster road trip. Playing in Chicago and Rockford this week, the Stars pulled out a single point, losing in a shootout to Chicago in a day game on Tuesday. The losses dropped the Stars down to fifth place in the packed Pacific. Even with a .579 points percentage, the Stars would only make the playoffs in one of the four AHL divisions as of today.

The original timeline for Curtis McKenzie's injury was 4-6 weeks. We've just entered that timeframe, so Texas may have their captain back any time now.

The Wolves come in on a mini-hot streak that included their win over Texas this week. They've also beat Manitoba and San Antonio in the stretch, two teams that are no pushovers indeed. Last night's win in San Antonio was a 3-0 shutout win for Oscar Dansk. That means it might be time for Kasimir Kaskisuo in net for the Wolves.
