Since the last time these two met up, San Diego has actually lost a few games. Heck, last night the Gulls dropped a game in San Antonio.

Last night, Coach Laxdal noted that his guys were very tired coming off the trip. Tonight, it will be doubly so. It will be important for Texas to score early and not get behind early, which has been an issue in some games where they've had trouble.

Former Dallas Star Adam Cracknell has had the game-winning goal in the last two San Diego wins. His season has bounced him around the NHL and AHL from AHL Toronto to the Ducks org.  He's a point per game player (7-6=13 in 13 GP) for San Diego and a threat to score on any play.

Bizarrely, it's the end of the season series between these two teams. They're only playing twice this year. The schedule is rather strange in that way. For example, Colorado doesn't play Texas at all.

This is the last game before the All-Star Break, and Texas will be sending two players to the game: Denis Gurianov and Joel L'Esperance.
