Following the conclusion of the preseason, Texas made ten cuts to its roster. All ten players will be in Idaho Steelheads training camp, which opens this week. Five will be there on assignment from Texas while the other five were tryout players who were outright cut from the AHL roster.
Additionally, Texas received Joel Hanley and Joe Cecconi from the Dallas Stars. These shifts put the Texas roster at 25. The Stars were essentially without an entire line of skaters through the preseason as Jason Robertson, Nick Caamano, Rhett Gardner, Hanley and Cecconi were not available. Look for all of them to be in the lineup on Friday night.
Here are the players assigned to Idaho.
- Colton Point
- Ondrej Vala
- Tanner Jago
- Anthony Nellis
- Tomas Sholl
- Max Coatta
- Marc-Olivier Roy
- Jeff King
- Conner Bleackley
- Zack Andrusiak
