How many different ways can the same story be re-written? This intrepid reporter is destined to find out on this Texas Stars road trip. A once productive offense now stricken down as impotent. A league-leading power play now struggling to score more than once a week. A team once five games over .500 now one below and having won just a single game in each of their last four series (4-9-2) after not losing a series all year to that point.

Again in Colorado, the story played out the same way. The margin was 4-1 today off three power play goals from the Eagles and a single Stars goal from Thomas Harley. Strangely enough, Texas did open the scoring despite a 13-4 shot deficit in the opening frame. It was all they would get though with Colorado tying things up two minutes later and never allowing Texas another lead in the game.

T.J. Tynan and Kiefer Sherwood continued to be kryptonite for Texas. Sherwood scored twice tonight just as he did last night. Tynan had a three point night totaling him to 17 in just eight games against Texas.

The Stars get a single day off, which they will use to travel, before playing in San Jose on Tuesday.
