The Texas Stars got their first player infusion from Dallas this morning as seven cuts from the NHL roster will all make their way to Texas for AHL camp this coming week. Forwards Jeremy Gregoire, Anthony Louis, Curtis McKenzie and Josh Melnick along with defenseman Max Martin were released from their PTOs. All five have AHL contracts in Texas. Goalies Adam Scheel and Colton Point, both on NHL contracts, were assigned to Texas in the same announcement.

The NHL roster now stands at 47 players. The Texas Stars open their season schedule on October 16th at home and will have no preseason games this year.
