Texas could not muster the hometown magic it found this past weekend tonight in Rockford. The IceHogs scored three in the first half of the first period on just seven shots and chased Matt Murray from the Stars net. Anton Khudobin did not fare much better across the remainder of the contest, ceding four.

The Stars notched a pair of goals, including a shorthanded tally. Curtis McKenzie temporarily stopped the bleeding with his fifth of the year to make it 3-1 early in the second. Rockford doubled him up to make it 5-1.

Alex Petrovic's shorty was a nice bit of special teams work but the damage was done. The Hogs would add two more in the final six minutes of the game to make it 7-2 final.

Away from home the day before Thanksgiving, it was a contest to forget for the visitors. The road trip continues on Friday with a pair in Chicago.
