Welcoming Back Hockey with Traverse Rosters, Training Camp Schedule

Dallas announced two notable items this week as the hockey season finally gets underway after a long, hot summer. First, the team announced the roster for the Traverse City Prospect Tournament. The tourney has been a mainstay for Dallas prospects for years and is the first organized hockey of the year for the org.

The Texas Stars' coaching staff is the coaching staff for the event, and the roster features many current and future Texas skaters and goalies as you can see below.

The tourney has dwindled from a high-water mark of eight teams down to just four. Therefore, Dallas plays just three games in the weekend, as follows:

Thursday, Sept. 14 -- 5:30 p.m. – Stars vs. Red Wings
Friday, Sept. 15 -- 5:30 p.m. – Stars vs. Maple Leafs
Sunday, Sept. 17 -- 10 a.m. – Stars vs. Blue Jackets

It's a limited slate but fear not. Training camp kicks off next week in Cedar Park, and Dallas has also announced the schedule for that event today.

All on-ice sessions are free and open to the public. The pre-season game against the Coyotes is a paid event.
