Earlier this year, I was selected as a featured author at the Round Rock Library's local author event. At that event, the coordinator mentioned that we should also apply to join the Giddings Word Wrangler Book Festival in September. It was an especially good recommendation for me because the festival has a bias toward Texas authors writing about Texas topics.
What could be more Texas than the Texas Stars? It's right there in the name.
I have been selected as a featured author for the 2025 Word Wrangler Festival in Giddings, happening September 26 and 27 at the Giddings Public Library. Of course, if you didn't know, I co-wrote a book about the Texas Stars called We Win Here with Sean Shapiro. It is believed to be only the second book ever written about any AHL team and the first ever about Texas.
