Cameron Hughes Named AHL All-Star

The American Hockey League announced this afternoon that Texas' Cameron Hughes has been selected to the 2026 Central Division All-Star roster.

Hughes has been an engine for the Stars this year. Before even a single other player on the roster has reached 20 points, Hughes hit 31 last night with three primary assists. With those 31, he is on pace for the best statistical season in his career. Current pace places him at 61, better than his previous high of 57, achieved twice.

There are a few players on the rosters who might have garnered All-Star recognition. Remi Poirier is one we wrote about earlier today. The second goalie spot on the Central roster went to Thomas Milic from Manitoba. You could also make an argument for Matthew Seminoff, who has been having a career year himself and fits the bill more as a prospect than Hughes. But Seminoff's 18 points pales in comparison to what you would expect from an All-Star forward at this point in the year.

In the end, Hughes' year was impossible to ignore.
