Updating Our Texas Stars Arena Music List

I haven't mentioned this one in a while, so I thought it'd be a good little activity for a slow news day. I currently maintain a list of all of the music that is played at the Cedar Park Center during Stars' games in a Google document. You can view that document by navigating to this link.

The trouble is, I need your help to keep it up to date. We haven't done this in a while, so take some time to think about your favorite songs and check if they are on the list. If not, make a comment with the song title and artists on this post or on the music post, which is also available in the sidebar. If you don't know the song but know some of the lyrics, a Google search is usually a good start, but you can also post the lyrics to see if anyone else knows.

  1. I forked your list and added iTunes links (where possible) here:

Feel free to steal my work. :)

  2. Crap, I need version control ;-). I have added some songs since you forked the list.

Will have to copy in 10 song segments to avoid issues. Thanks!

  3. Meh. Just copy the column in. Worst case, someone will have some surprise buys. ;)

  4. Actually, my wife and I were commenting how much we miss the "goal song" from last year (I think it was Gary Glitter's Rock n' Roll, Part 2?) because it got the fans yelling GO STARS to the beat of the song...the song now doesn't get the fans involved. Any way to get it back? It's the same song they've played at the Dallas Stars games all these years too...thanks!

  5. During warmups, Matt took my suggestion and they now play a truncated version of "Planetary (GO!)" by My Chemical Romance.
