If you put together the Stars last two games, they played one complete game altogether. The last half of the Abbotsford game and the first half of the San Antonio game put together would be one heck of a hockey game for the Stars. The Stars are concentrated on playing a solid 60 minute game on Saturday night, according to center Aaron Gagnon.

Tonight's game is the 11th and second to last on the season between the Stars and the Houston Aeros. Overall, Texas is 1-6-2-1 against Houston. After falling 3-2 against Rockford on Sunday, the Aeros have outscored the IceHogs and Crunch 11-2 in their last two games.

Houston has been devastated by the Wild's injury woes but continues to find ways to win. From our friends at The Third Intermission:
The Aeros are either dropping like flies or picking up the OnePass miles to Minnesota, so you have to be impressed with how they have responded with all the player movement this week.

Jamie Fraser, Jeff Penner, Cody Almond, Drew Bagnall, Matt Kassian and Tyler Cuma are hurt. Warren Peters and Casey Wellman are in the NHL, and the Aeros win another game with guys like Jamie Fritsch, Pascal Morency and Joel Broda filling in.
Stars killers Jon DiSalvatore (14 points in 10 games), Maxim Noreau (10 points in 10 games) and Patrick O'Sullivan (9 points in just 4 games) will still be in the lineup.

One player who will surely not be in the lineup is Anton Khudobin, who had previously stoned the Stars on the year, winning all 7 decisions against Texas. Khudobin was traded to the Bruins organization and is now the #1 in Providence. Matt Hackett is no slouch though, as he has picked up two wins against Texas and has a 2.28 GAA overall this year.

Houston has pulled away from Texas this week with a 4-1 record. Leading Texas by four point, Houston can use this game to extend their lead and further cement the playoffs. These points are more important for Texas with several teams right on their heels for third place.
