The Texas Stars announced today that they have release winger Joey Martin from his professional tryout agreement. He played in four games, exclusively on the fourth line, collecting no points and a minus-1 rating.
The release of Martin begs the question: who's healthy? Texas is not currently expecting anyone sent down from Dallas and has three on the mend in Francis Wathier, Travis Morin and Scott Glennie. Wathier and Morin are the most likely candidates to return. The Stars got the day off and did not hold practice today after returning early this morning from their road trip to the Midwest. It remains to be seen who is back on the ice tomorrow in practice.

Hope it's Wathier. It'd be a shame for him to miss his own bobble-head night.
ReplyDeleteIt really would be.
DeleteDid they ever say what Wats was out with? Illness? Injury?
ReplyDeleteyes... more info please...
ReplyDeleteWathier skated today, Wednesday, in a no-contact jersey. Morin and Glennie still out.
DeleteSaw Wats and Glennie at Casino Night. Wats is still recovering from a concussion and Glennie is waiting for surgery on his hand. I didn't see Morin anywhere.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the tidbit info on Wathier. He's been missed.
