Gameday Preview: Stars v. San Antonio Rampage

Texas Stars
35-16-5-6, 81 pts
#1 Western Conference
v.San Antonio Rampage
27-26-1-6, 61 pts
#13 Western Conference
March 19th at 7:30 PM
Cedar Park Center, Cedar Park, TX

Having earned five of a possible six points since last playing the Rampage, Texas is certainly feeling better about themselves now than they probably were a week ago. Still the way they lost that sixth and final potential point and who they lost it to should be more than enough to motivate them to perform well against the Rampage tonight.

Texas has had a lot of success against the Ramapge this season. In fact, Texas has not failed to collect at least one point against the San Antonio club in eight games this season. Continued injury issues in Florida and a Stars' team that is getting healthier may continue that trend.

Rampage blogger 'Rampage Nate' often refers to the Cedar Park Center as a house of horrors for San Antonio. In four year and 22 games, San Antonio has won only five games in Austin. That's eighteen points for San Antonio to 36 for Texas, exactly double. There have been a fair share of overtime contests so there's no telling if that's in the cards tonight.

Nilstorp looks to be out again with injury. I would not be surprised to see the Stars put out the same lineup as the last two games in Charlotte.

Remember tonight's game is on TV with Dan Weiss and the FSSW crew calling the action.

  1. Goodness! I hope Nilstorp feels better soon, bless his heart! I was so scared when Testwuide charged him and he didn't get up for a long time. I have full faith that Campbell will continue to do an excellent job! Thanks for the quick updates on our favorite Stars!
