Time Warner Cable Arena, Charlotte, NC

Here's a shorter preview today due to it being the second night against the same team. Two major points for the Stars to ponder after last night's game. They are intimately related.

First, Charlotte does not take a lot of penalties. The Checkers and Stars are the two least penalized teams in the AHL this season. The Stars needed to score on that late power play, if not one of the first two. They had plenty of chances, that's for sure. It's unclear what they could have done better and that's because of the second point.

Second, two words: Rob Madore. This rookie has now stopped 87 of 92 shots against him by the Stars. That's a .946 SV%. Is there any way that Charlotte, with their playoff hopes and home ice advantage on the line, doesn't play the hot hand, Madore, against Texas tomorrow?
