atSan Antonio Rampage
29-36-2-6, 66 pts
#14 Western Conference
April 16th at 7:00 PM
AT&T Center, San Antonio, TX

UPDATE: Texas received Cristopher Nilstorp back on assignment from Dallas today. Josh Robinson was assigned to Idaho in turn.

UPDATE 2: Reilly Smith recalled.

Much of the same can be said about tonight's game as could be said about Sunday's. Texas has to be hoping that the effort is the same as well. Their 8-2 drubbing of the Rampage tied a franchise record for goals in a game.

The Stars have a chance to secure a near-perfect record against San Antontio tonight. Texas has gotten at least a point in every one of 12 games against the Rampage this season, going 9-0-1-1.

Thanks to that play, the Stars are in a position to wrap up the top spot in the conference with three points in the next three games. They can wrap it up tonight with help from the OKC Barons, who are playing in Toronto. The Marlies, currently in second place, are the only team left that can catch Texas in the West. The following scenarios will lock up the division for Texas tonight:
  • Texas regulation win AND Toronto loss of any kind
  • Texas OT/SO loss AND Toronto regulation loss.
So keep an eye on the Barons and Marlies game tonight, which is in Toronto, starts at 6 PM Central and will be completed before the end of the Stars' game.
