According to the ECHL transaction sheet, the Texas Stars have picked up defenseman Russ Sinkewich this afternoon from the Toledo Walleye.
Sinkewich has less than a season's worth of games in the AHL across five different teams. In 63 AHL games, he has seven assists and no goals. In the ECHL, he has 202 games played with nine goals and 37 assists.
This signing indicates that Patrik Nemeth is not ready for game action tomorrow against San Antonio. Sinkewich will likely play in that game.
