According to Colby Pridham of SportsNet in Canada, the Texas Stars will be adding Derek Hulak of the University of Saskatechewan on an amateur tryout agreement.
Hulak's Huskies just lost in the University Cup finals to Alberta. Pridham wrote about Hulak as a player to watch in the tournament before the weekend.
Hulak spent four years with the Saskatoon Blades, former team of current Star Matej Stransky, before heading to college. In 2010-11, he even put in 21 games in the CHL with Tulsa.

In their second and final time hosting the University Cup, he and his teammates will be looking for a much different ending, and Hulak will be expected to lead the charge."
