The Texas Stars will play in the Calder Cup Finals against the St. John's IceCaps starting Sunday in Cedar Park. We'll get to previewing that team and their systems, players and such later.

For now, here's the schedule:
2014 Calder Cup Finals - Texas vs. St. John's
(All Times Central)

Game 1 - Sunday, June 8th - 7:30 p.m. vs. St. John's
Game 2 - Monday, June 9th - 7:30 p.m. vs. St. John's
Game 3 - Wednesday, June 11th - 5:00 p.m. at St. John's
Game 4 - Monday, June 16th - 5:00 p.m. at St. John's
Game 5 ** - Tuesday, June 17th - 5:00 p.m. at St. John's
Game 6 ** - Thursday, June 19th - 7:30 p.m. vs. St. John's
Game 7 ** - Monday, June 23rd - 7:30 p.m. vs. St. John's

** If necessary
The league wants a three day gap between the conference finals and league finals, which is why the series will not start on Friday as previously rumored. The next available date was Sunday. The large gap in St. John's is due to a previously booked convention from June 13-16 at Mile One. The gap in Texas between Game 6 and 7 is due to the rodeo.

  1. Man, they couldn't move high school graduation one day so they can have a SATURDAY NIGHT game? Not one weekend night in the whole schedule? Let me guess-- the graduation lighting rig will prevent use of the jumbotron?

    1. There is an entire day of graduations that day. It sounds like it wasn't an option to move all 4 graduations. There should be no restrictions on in-arena equipment for Game 1.

  2. Cedar Park Center also has Vandegrift and Rouse HS graduations scheduled for Friday (along with the Saturday ones), which pushed Game 1 to Sunday. League had no choice.

    1. If TX wrapped in 6 and STJ in 5, they would have moved Friday's graduations to Gupton Stadium. Because each series went longer, they couldn't get the gap they wanted between series.
