The Texas Stars, the City of Cedar Park and H-E-B announced today that they have reached a naming rights deal for the Stars' home arena. The facility will now be known as H-E-B Center at Cedar Park. The deal culminates a multi-year naming rights search first announced on December 13th, 2011.
“Extending and expanding their partnership to this level shows the value that Central Texas companies see in our organization,” Texas Stars President and Alternate Governor, and General Manager of the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park Rick McLaughlin said. “H-E-B has been a tremendous partner with our organization for several years. The H-E-B name is synonymous with excellence, as is this vibrant, multi-purpose facility. It’s a perfect match.”
The new name is effective immediately. The arena will host its first event tonight, a concert featuring The Band Perry.
I don't care what the official name is, it'll still be Cedar Park Center to me. It's a shortened version of H-E-B Center at Cedar Park anyway.
