Texas Stars Return from All-Star Break with 3-2 Loss in San Antonio

Debuting their shiny new lineup in San Antonio, Texas fell 3-2 to the home team. It was just the second time this season that the Stars have fallen after leading at the end of forty minutes. Two quick goals by the Rampage to open the period gave them the opening they needed to complete the comeback.

Justin Peters stopped 27 of 30 shots against him. The loss was Texas's fifth straight, setting them at a .500 record and turn tomorrow's rematch into a battle for 7th place in the division.

Noted Star killer Rocco Grimaldi opened the scoring in the first, earning the Rampage a 1-0 lead after 20. First rounders Denis Gurianov and Jason Dickinson scored a pair between them in the second to give Texas the lead after 40.

Cole Ully took a puck to the face and had to be taken off the ice in the final minutes of the third period. Neither team scored on the power play in the game, combining for five chances between them.

These two teams will play again tomorrow in Cedar Park.
