Julius Honka Going to World Championships; Mike McMurtry Assigned to Idaho

A few roster moves happened today as the Dallas Stars cleaned out their lockers and did exit interviews. First, Julius Honka will not be joining the Texas Stars this week despite his assignment to the AHL yesterday. Instead, he will head to Europe to join Finland's World Championship training camp. The tournament begins next month and will be played in Germany and France. Honka is not a lock to be on the team yet.

Additionally, Texas assigned Mike McMurtry to Idaho today. He will spend the next few days getting prepped for the Steelheads' playoff battle to begin on Friday against Colorado.
