The only goal in tonight's game against Stockton was a tough one to swallow. Garnet Hathaway had the winner off the skate of a Texas Stars' defenseman at 8:07 of the second period. Landon Bow, still in pursuit of his first win of the year, stopped 24 of 25 shots against him in the losing effort.

It was Texas's first time being shutout this season. The Stars were shut out 3 times last season with the last being a shootout loss against Chicago on March 15th.

The Stars had five chances on the power play, coming up short in the special teams department yet again. Making matters worse, the goal against came on the power play for Stockton, putting Texas at 26th in the league on the kill.

The loss drops Texas back to .500 on the season. Tomorrow's contest against the San Jose Barracuda is a matinee affair on the Pacific coast.
