The Texas Stars traveled to the division-leading Manitoba Moose on Friday night and handed them a loss after three first period goals chased Moose starter Arvid Holm and Anton Khudobin stopped 36 in a bounce back performance. Riley Barber and Matej Blumel collected two points each; their linemate Tanner Kero had an assist to boot.

Barber opened the scoring for Texas. It was his sixth of the year in nine game as his line with Kero and Blumel continues to produce for the Stars. The lead the line created wouldn't last long with Dean Stewart beating Khudobin on the game's next shot 17 seconds later and knotting things at one.

It was all Texas from there on. Jacob Peterson and Marian Studenic each scored to push the score to 3-1 after twenty. Oskari Salminen would replace Holm for the rest of the game after the latter stopped 8 of 11.

Ben Gleason finished off the scoring for Texas with a power play goal in the second. From that point, it was Anton Khudobin's show. After allowing the lone Manitoba goal in the first, Khudobin stopped 34 straight to finish the game, including 16 in the final frame.

The Moose will get a chance for revenge on Sunday as Texas's abnormal run of scheduling continues with a 2:00 PM game.
