The Texas Stars picked up more hardware over the weekend as the regular season came to a close. Forward Mavrik Bourque, already selected as a First Team All-Star for the AHL, clinched the league's title as top point scorer with 26-51=77. Bourque's win was the second all-time for the Stars franchise. Travis Morin won the title in 2013-14 with 88 points, the team single-season record.

Bourque, 22, is the youngest winner of the John B. Sollenberger Trophy in over a decade. Rockford’s Brandon Pirri won the award in 2012-13, also at age 22.

The biggest hardware may still be to come as Bourque has an inside shot at the MVP award, handed out this Friday. Today, we can expect the Pieri, coach of the year, to be awarded.
