G Arno Tiefensee, F Angus MacDonell Still ATO Candidates, But With Caveats

Two ATO notes that I shared on Twitter/X that need to also be shared here.

Dallas signed 2023 draft pick goalie Arno Tiefensee to an entry-level deal. There is some chance that Tiefensee signs an ATO with Texas this spring, but the real question as to whether he will is his participation in the IIHF World Championships, which are in Sweden and Denmark starting May 9. If he is selected to represent Germany, he will not join.

Additionally, I would expect to see F Angus MacDonell join on an ATO at some point here, but I would also say that he's not as likely to play. MacDonell finished his OHL season with an upper body injury and missed several games in the playoff series with Oshawa. Texas may have him around to get treatment and evaluation, but it doesn't seem likely he would be a player. Certainly not right away.

Texas continues their three-in-three this afternoon in Chicago at 3 PM CT.
